2015 San Francisco Giants Stand Up Paddleboard Race Season Is Sealed
McCovey cove was the sight of a paddleboard 'mugging by Seal' this past week as the San Francisco Giants opened up against the Los Angeles Dodgers in their campaign to repeat as baseball's world champs.(all photos credited Ron Steinau)
The 101 Surf Sports crew was out on the cove staged and ready to race with Angel (Angel Cabrera), Baby GIraffe (Brandon Belt), and White Shark (Gregor Blanco) fired up to kick off this years San Francisco Giants Stand Up Paddleboard Racing series. This year marks the start of our fifth year doing our best to give the fans some high quality in-between inning entertainment. Hearing 40k people cheer for you while you paddleboard can be a bit intoxicating and the reaction when a seal sends you a swimming is homerun-roarlike.
It's a long season yet and well be out at the park for 14 more dates of action. The Giants theme for our May 9th game is Superhero's so if you ever wondered if Batman can out Stand up Paddle Superman than this is your chance to find out.
