Doubling Up On Stand Up Paddleboard Demo Days this September
If you have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area long you already know that October and November are some of our best weather months we have. As the strong winds and fog banks of summer fade away the paddling only gets better so let 101 Surf Sports help get you on the water and Stand Up Paddleboarding.
First up this Saturday September 22nd is Starboard Stand Up Paddleboards for a totally free demo day. From 9am to 2pm we will have nearly the full line of Starboard SUP's in the water and ready to ride. From Stand Up Paddleboards made for Fishing to top of the line Carbon Race boards we have a deep selection of Starboard SUP's to choose from. Anyone who purchases a Starboard SUP on the demo day will receive a 10% discount on the board and any other purchases storewide.
Immediately following the Saturday September 22nd Demo Day will be a Dan Gavere (pictured at right) Stand Up Paddle race clinic. Reserve your spot now before it sells-out - $100. More information on the Dan Gavere click here.
The next weekend it's time for a Storewide Demo Day. Not one brand - ALL OF THEM! It's our first ever store wide SUP demo at 101 Surf Sports. On Sunday September 28th from 9am to 2pm we will have Naish Javelins, Starboard Raceboards, Jimmy Lewis Cruise Controls, NSP Flatwaters and more on the dock and ready to ride. As always there is no cost to demo the boards. Any one purchasing a Naish board on the day of the demo will receive 10% off the board and 10% off any additional purchases storewide. Anyone buying a full carbon board (any brand) will receive 15% off!
In addition on Sunday Sept 30th we will be offering up a selection of used, shipping damaged, and cosmetic blem boards at deep discounts. First come first served on all used gear.
When: Starboard –Saturday September 28th 9am to 2pm . Dan Gavere Race Clinic 3pm-5pm. Naish Sunday September 30th 9am-2pm
What to wear: Avoid clothing made of natural fibers like cotton. Workout clothes, biking apparel, yoga pants and other synthetics are best. Hats are recommended as are sunglasses. Remember to leash up those sunglasses. Wetsuits are not needed.
What to Bring: Any snacks and or drinks for lounging in our picnic area. Sunscreen and towel are also good things to have.

Parking - There is plenty of parking in our lot and directly across the street. However we kindly ask that you do not park in front of the Western Boat Shop.
Demo day logistics - All demos are on a first come first serve basis. Rides on individual boards are to be in the 5-10 minute range as you move amongst the various boards. All gear including paddles and life jackets will be provided. Anyone under 18 years of age will need to have a waiver signed by a parent. You can do that on the day of the demo with parents in attendance or you can download one ahead of time by clicking here.
