Stand Up Paddleboarding in Appreciation Of Law Enforcement
Perhaps you have been to a San Francisco Giants game and seen the Stand Up Paddlers racing up on the Jumbotron. Well that just happens to be the folks here at 101 Surf Sports and this past week was Law Enforcement Appreciation day and we took the theme and paddled with it.
The Management team at the Giants is always tying in to do things to support the community and with Firefighter Appreciation day the week prior it was time to celebrate the folks in Law Enforcement. The 101 Surf Sports team decided to play off the Cops and Robbers theme and stage a jail break SUP Sprint race set up to go off in the middle of the second inning. Thanks to convicts Jonno Tunney and Joe Hanania pictured at far left and right respectively.
As the gun sounded the two criminals had, being criminals, started too earlty forcing the long arm of the law to run them down. By the time we got to the turn Officer 101 had tracked down esapee number one quickly disposing of him in to the water.
Escapee number two however had a full head of steam and took some extra effort to reel in.
