Introducing The Whole Foods San Rafael Paddling Race Series
We launched our 101 Surf Sports Paddling race series to great success this past year and have been excited to see all manner of paddling craft get in on the action. One of 101 Surf Sports core values is the celebration of diversity and we have woven the concept into all we do including our paddling race series. With Outrigger Canoes, Surf Ski's, Kayaks, Prone Paddleboards, and Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP) all gathering together to race in a family friendly environment right here on the waters of the San Rafael Creek in Marin County.
So when it came time to expand our race series and take it to the next level we looked for partners who also saw the value and benefits of promoting a lifestyle of health, balance and well-being. With our own requirements for high standards in place we needed a teammate that felt as strongly as we did about not just meeting our customer's expectations but exceeding them. Enter Whole Foods Market San Rafael.
The 101 Surf Sports race series focuses on having a good time under the spirit of healthy competition. With a sheltered 2 mile short course for new racers and various 6-7 mile long open water courses it's the perfect fit for both first timers and elite athletes.
The series features an after race social that includes a Whole Foods sponsored post race brunch and prizes as well as a pre-race bagel and coffee bar that makes the $20 entry fee one of the best values around. No Board? No problem. 101 Surf Sports discounts our board rentals for racers on race day to a flat $20 fee for use of the board all the way up to noon. Racers start gathering between 7:30am and 9am for registration and a prompt 9:15am skippers meeting. Racing starts promptly at 9:30am.

Registration - 7:30am-9am, Skippers Meeting 9:15am, Race Start 9:30am
Cost - $20 for race entry. $20 for race board rental. Please call ahead to reserve raceboards as they sell out quick.
