Learn Wingfoiling It's As Easy As 1,2,3
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3. 1. Learn to Foil, 2. Learn to Wingsurf, 3. Learn to WingFoil.
Step 1 Learn to foil by learning to E-foil.
It’s time to fly, E-Foil lessons.
Our efoil lessons last 90 minutes and are taught on large stable boards to insure the easiest and safest efoiling experience. We feature helmets that utilize two way radios so that the student and teacher are in constant communication. Safety is paramount so we first familiarize the student with all of the equipment and the proper procedures for e-foiling. We teach you the proper body mechanics and sequencing to get the rider from a prone position laying flat on the board, to kneeling and ultimately get you to a standing position. From there we work on turning and getting you comfortable and ready to go up on foil.
We provide all of the gear needed to get you on the water. We do provide wetsuits for lessons. Prices are based on rental of machines. It is $300 per machine, per lesson. If you have any questions just give us a call at 415-524-8492 or send us an email.
Step 2 Learn to Wingsurf
The first part of the lesson will be on land where we will familiarize you with all of the parts of the wing and teach you how to use your pump to inflate your wing. We will cover how to handle the wing, flip the wing, body placement in relationship to the board. Then how to fly the wing and the sequencing for getting the wing flying and you in a standing position. Then we will review sheeting in and sheeting out. Now you are ready for the water. We will review carrying the board and wing, getting the board and wing in the water, as well as rider, board position, and wing position. Once on the board we will cover flying the wing and transitioning your hands from the front of the wing to the handles and learning to wing on you knees. You will then learn to sail upwind on your knees and how to turn around and come back the opposite direction. Now it’s time to get you up and winging in the standing position and you will get your first fun rides.
Step 3 Learn to Wingfoil.
Now that you have got the basics of foiling and wing handling it’s time to integrate the two disciplines. We will do so through the use of headsets to be able to guide you up into standing on the foilboard. We will first work on just sailing the foilboard so that you are comfortable sailing it both directions. Falls are inevitable so we will work on getting back on the board and getting the board in the proper position to get going again. Now we will work on getting your first flights and controlling the board while airborne.
