Full Moon Paddleboard & Kayak Tours on San Francisco Bay
Join us for a magical experience on the water and gaze at the upcoming Full Moons! The group will be accompanied by a 101 Surf Sports guide and we will leisurely paddle down the San Rafael canal to the opening of San Pablo Bay. From there we will stay together as a group and watch the moon rise over the hills of the East Bay and remain on the water for a total of approximately 2 hours.
UPDATE 4/4/2023 - Due to an unfortunate weather forecast (Rain, Clouds, Wind) we are canceling the 4/6 event. Join us for our May 5th Flower Moon Paddle.
Each start time is different based upon the lunar cycle, so please check the start time for each of the group paddles in your confirmation email. We will leave the dock promptly 15 minutes after the start time. Please keep in mind that the shop will be closed while we are all on the water, so if you need to return early you can use our lockers to keep personal items safely stored.
Kayaks and paddleboards are welcome for the tour. You are welcome to use your own watercraft and we also have plentiful amounts of rental kayaks and paddleboards. Everyone will be required to wear PFD’s and headlamps. The headlamps will be provided.
This event is not for first-time paddlers. Each participant must be a competent paddler. Basic kayak or paddle boarding skills are required.
Since this will be an early evening paddle, neoprene is suggested. If you don’t have any neoprene, we have O’Neill rental wetsuits available for the additional cost of $20. If you need to rent a wetsuit plan on arriving early to get fitted. Depending on the weather conditions, layers of synthetic clothing might be more appropriate. A change of clothes and a towel is always a good way to ensure you have a comfy ride home.
The cost is $10 with your boat or board or $25 to rent an SUP or Kayak (pfd/paddle/leash included). Wetsuit rental is additional $25. While its not necessary a wetsuit will keep you toasty warm!
No walk-ups, you must RSVP by email info@101surfsports.com. Any questions please email tom@101surfsports.com
Anyone is welcome to bring a potluck dish if you want to hang out after the paddle at our picnic table area.
Pink Moon paddle is April 6th
