31 Thousand Thanks To All The LLS SUP Crew

We are so stoked to be part of such a strong and well meaning community. As we geared up to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society SUP Cup Races we needed boards - lots of boards. (all photos by Ellen Hoke)

And that's where the community really pitched in. We have quite a few boards here at the shop but this event is so huge we would literally have been cleaned out. First call we placed was over to Galen Licht of Sea Trek. His response - "How many?". We reply "20". He doesn't blink an eye.

Call number 2 was to Drew Dickson at PSUP and Napa Valley Paddle. Drew's drove all the way to Napa and hauled the boards to Petaluma to help us out.

Then a quick jingle over to Mike Wang of Mikes Paddle. Mike was out of town at the time and from his Croation vacation he takes the time to pull together 9 more boards.

Thanks to the support of all these folks the LLS team was able to raise over $30,000 for the fight against cancer. This doubled the haul from last year and it was all due to one of the best communities around. Thanks as well to the Corinthian Yacht Club and all its members for sharing such an incredible venue. More thanks to all the volunteers who helped move boards, score racers, work registration, and lots of other jobs that made everything run so smooth.
