San Francisco Giants Paddleboard Racing in McCovey Cove - Fish Costumes

The San Francisco Giants Paddleboard racing season is off to a fishy start with lots of swimming and a winning record.

The 2017 season has been a bit of a rough start for the G-Men but we are certain things are turning around. In fact, over our 3 races so far, the Giants have 2 wins and 1 loss record and after our last race went on a 6-game winning streak. Perhaps we need to put more events on the calendar!

If you aren’t familiar with the Giants Paddleboard the race team we 2 major goals with this event. First up is making sure the fans are having a great time at the park. The downtime in between innings offers up a bit of space to give the fans some unique thrills and spill that highlight the unique waterside nature of AT&T Park. We can tell by the roar of the crowd, that we can hear all the way out on the water, that it’s become a fan favorite.

Second, it’s an innovative way to let folks know about one of our area’s must-see attractions; The Monterey Bay Aquarium. While Monterey is in and of itself and incredible destination for all us water folks, no trip is complete without a visit to the Aquarium. If you are looking for the perfect get away for the whole family this one should be top of list.We couldn’t be more stoked with our new partnership with the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

The new costumes are the perfect synergy for the McCovey Cove paddle scene. With the Giants iconic water side ball park what could be more appropriate than a shark chasing a bunch of fish around the buoys by way of paddleboard. We have plenty more dates ahead and if you are a really solid paddler it's possible we can get you in on the action.

Obviously, this is not for beginner paddlers. Paddling in these costumes is very difficult with limited sight and heavy windage it takes a good paddler just to pull it off. However, it’s a great way to get in to the game as our guest paddlers get 2 free tickets to the game and we reimburse your parking.
