We had some serious fast fun at our Summer of Fun Sprint Race #2. With strong winds-a-blowin’ we showed that it this new format can run under almost any conditions. (Pictured David Hook just beating out Maddy King on the Surfski)

The day started with a strong westerly wind blowing straight down the course. This meant, based on the subjective call, that we weren’t going to ratify any new records. While we are far from the Olympics here we do want to try (emphasize try) to keep things real. The winds clocked in at 20+mph and the current was going the same way. As the night wore on the tide only accelerated. (Pictured below Claudia Breuer in perfect form)

We were stoked to see such diversity on the line up with SUP, Surfski, and even the He’e Nalu OC6 taking a shot at the course. The race course runs in an open format. That means for one hour we open the starting line for any and all who want to run. How many times you run the course is totally up to you. When you start, well that’s up to you too. Talks about low pressure fun – this is it.(Pictured below Janet Walp en fuego on the Epic V7 Surf Ski)

Once again we pulled out all our toys SUPSquatch, 14 foot carbon race boards, and even our 17’6 Starboard Sprint. Your $10 entrance fee gets you in on the action and you can use our gear. Now that’s a deal.

Our next race is Thursday July 13th and we hope to see you on the line. NO RSVP, No Pre-Race Registration, No Worries. Just show up and race. More Information Here
