We are proud to be partnering with River and Ocean Paddling School to bring a full slate of Sea Kayaking activities for San Francisco Bay. Whether you want to learn the basics or you are ready to go rock gardening we have you covered.
With summer just around the corner we have planned out an action packed calendar that is sure to put some adventure in your summer. River and Ocean is a collective of certified paddlesports instructors based in the Bay Area and Sacramento region. The River & Ocean Paddlesports team is dedicated to the delivery of quality, student-centered instruction and coaching in kayaking.
You'll find personalized coaching and mentoring, professional guide training and assessment, instructor training and assessment, and of course some fun, exciting, and educational trips on San Francisco Bay, Tomales Bay and the Open Coast.
The April 8th & 9th - Coastal Navigation Clinic is intended for sea kayakers interested in undertaking journeys where they may find themselves dealing with unfamiliar regions, fog, tidal currents, and open crossings, or who simply want a better toolkit for trip planning and safety.
On April 9th we set off on a Moonlight Paddle on San Rafael Creek or for the hardcore experience check out the April 15th Sea Kayak Intro to Rock Gardens class. (pictured above)
So darting your kayaks through rocks and sea caves is not adventurous enough for you? Well then the April 23rd - Sea Kayak Intro to Surf Zone class is guaranteed to get your heart pumping. To balance out all the adrenaline come unwind on on the April 23rd - Kayak Tour to the Marin Islands.
If paddling for fitness is your goal then the surfski is the perfect craft for the varied conditions on San Francisco Bay. Our April 29th - Surfski Essentials on teaches you everything you need to know about the fastest paddle craft on the water.
