A Big Hello To The San Francisco Bay For Airush Kiteboarding

We are happy to welcome Airush Kiteboarding to the 101 Surf Sports portfolio of fun. With the steady winds of summer on San Francisco Bay just around the corner it’s time to make your plans to get kiteboarding.

Kiteboarding is tons of fun, and when compared to some other water sports relatively easy to learn and not too hard on the body. While Kiteboarding is easy to learn, lessons are an absolute must. While kiteboarding gear has dramatically improved in both safety and performance over the year’s lessons are the best way to learn safely.

We have been offering kiteboarding lessons for over 5 years and our instructor has over 10 years of experience teaching. Whether it’s your first-time kiteboarding, or you are looking to learn how to Foil, we have you covered. Each lesson is 3 hours long and costs $385 for one person. You can add a friend to the lesson for an additional $150. Plan on a minimum of 3 lessons and some may need a few more. A good lesson with a qualified instructor is the key to making kiteboarding fun right out of the gate. We teach every day in two time slots 12 to 3pm and 3:30 to 6:30pm. Our lessons leave from Treasure Island near San Francisco and all the gear you need is included.

If you are already kiteboarding we know you will really appreciate the performance of Airush kites. This is not a bargain basement entry level set up but performance gear that performs at the highest level. Airush’s focus remains on creating the perfect kiteboarding experience through testing and innovative technical design, while always maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship. These are some of the best kites in the air.

While we are a bit partial to the Airush Lithium the entire range is solid top to bottom. We are offering up demos of the Lithium to experienced kiters who want to see just how great a kite it is. While more specialized designs will perform better under certain conditions the Lithium was designed with maximum utility in mind. Renting a Kite is also an option but we can only rent to experienced kiteboarders. Please call us to inquire.

One thing you can do to explore kiteboarding, and maximize the efficacy of your lesson, is to come grab a trainer kite. Trainer kites cost $120 and we recommend 6-10 hours flying them on land prior to any lesson. Following this path means you show up at your lesson with a lot of skills already under your belt. Not to mention it’s a lot of fun too.
