Get Pitted With Education At Our New Semignars
Introducing the 101 Surf Sports Semignar Series, a free get together that tackles one gnarly topic per session about the things that drive our passions.
We realize that being part of a new sport means there are lots of questions out there. And while we don’t have all the answers we are creating this new series of get-togethers to attempt to demystify one topic per session. Information is a two way street, so if one of the topics hits a passion point for you please feel free to come contribute to the group. Think two-way TED talks for the water sports.
This free series will start this March and the first talk will center on Fins. We will cover surfing fins, to touring fins and everything in between. We’ll talk about the various fin systems and give you some tips to tune and trim your fins. In fact if you have a fin that might need some TLC be sure to bring it and we will give the tips you need to get that fin working at peak performance.

That means this going to be fun brah. While we will geek out on the technical details these are fun informal information sharing sessions. Feel free to bring a snack for the group or that adult beverage you can't wait to share. All the sessions will be held at our San Rafael shop. While these are informal, we will start on time. If you are late, no worries just jump in when you get here but we are a bit OCD on the starting on time thing. We start at 7pm prompt but you can show up any time before that. Expect the semignar to run about an hour followed by some apres-gnar socializing.
Session 1 – Fins Thursday March 2nd 7:00pm
Session 2 – Stand Up Paddles Thursday April 6th 7pm
Session 3 – Board Construction Thursday May 4th 7pm
No RSVP needed just come on down and shoot the gnar at our shack.
Got questions about a fin in your quiver? Bring that fin in and we will tell you what it is good for.
Anyone attending the seminar can purchase any in-stock fin for 10% off.
We’ll be looking to do one one semignar a month usually on the first Thursday of the month.
