Epic Surfskis at 101 Surf Sports San Rafael
We are delighted to announce that Epic Surfskis and Wing Paddles are available to demo, rent, and buy at 101 Surf Sports. We are stoked to be partnering with Epic Kayaks, the world's leading manufacturer of performance surfskis and paddles.
We have taken delivery of a gaggle of Epic V7 & V5 surfskis and the wing paddles that make these the fastest paddle craft on the water. We will be increasing our inventory over time working with Kenny Howell, our local Epic Regional Representative. Surfski paddling on San Francisco Bay has seen rapid growth and wih advent of a new line of affordably priced surfski's you too can be gliding over the water with us.
The growing popularity of surfski has been evident at our 101 Surf Sports Paddle Races and we will be offering introductory surfski lessons, and clinics on the forward stroke alongside other fun events.
Epic Kayaks was founded by multiple World Paddling Champion Greg Barton. Greg (pictured) won 4 Olympic medals at 3 Olympic games paddling for Team USA and has put that passion for excellence straight in to his boats.
The award winning Epic Wing paddle has become the top choice for fitness and racing paddlers, and increasingly, touring kayakers who want to maximize the potential of their forward stroke. Stable, smooth, and powerful the Epic Wing will have you paddling farther and faster.
SURFSKI RENTALS:
$30 for the first hour. $50 for two hours or $70 for all day on-site paddling. We also have volume deals available.
Take them offsite for the first day $100and $50 Each Additional Day (Rent for 5 Days & Keep it for 7 Days)

SURFSKI LESSONS:
Our Surfski Intro lessons are available at 101 Surf Sports in San Rafael (Mon-thu).
In addition to the forward stroke we will cover safety; how to remount your surfski in the event of a capsize; what clothing to wear for the conditions we experience here in the San Francisco Bay Area; how to tour using a surfski and places to go and some good training tips as well.
WHEN: Based on our mutual availability.
DURATION: 1 hour
COST: $99 (if you buy a boat within 30 days of the lesson, we will apply the cost of the lesson to the purchase price)
LOGISTICS: Sunscreen and Hats are recommended. Please avoid cotton attire as it’s not good on the water. Synthetic fibers like Polyester are ideal. Things like biking clothes, yoga pants, and/or rash guards make for the best on the water wear. All Paddles, Life Jackets, Leashes, and boats will be provided. Bring plenty of water to drink and a picnic lunch for after your lesson.
Wetsuits are not needed but they may help you be more relaxed initially. Over the long haul its something you will want to own in order to get the most out of the boat. Good suits start about $150. We do not rent suits.
