Otters On San Rafael Canal
This past Saturday September 17th we were blessed with some astonishing visitors - two Sea Otters!
Having lived my whole life on San Francisco Bay I had never even heard of a rumored sighting of otters on the bay and was simply amazed when these two leapt up on to our dock for a rest in the sunshine. At the time we had both Kayak Rentals and Stand Up paddling Rentals on the water but the otters were elusive diving under water and simply vanishing.
While I am no Marlon Perkins it does look like a Male and a Female. They lolled around in the sun for a pit then proceeded to wrestle each other and just like that they slipped in to the water and paddled away. Awesome!
