December Is Stand Up Paddle Surf Month
December is is all about SUP & waves at 101 Surf Sports. We are taking the whole month to get you riding waves on stand up paddleboards through a series of special programs.
As part of our month long SUP Surf Extravaganza we are offering up;
- A series of SUP Surf Classes
- A guided trip to SUP Surf in the waves
- Free Demos on SUP Surf Boards
- Deals on all the gear you need to get SUP Surfing.
First up is our SUP Surf Class & Demo. This class is meant to give you all the information you need to get surfing on your stand up paddleboard. A comprehensive set of materials is provided to get you educated on the rules (written and unwritten), the gear, board handling, paddle stroke, local knowledge and much more. We spend 2 hours on land doing in depth classroom style learinng and then take to the waters for one hour behind our shop to test various boards and practice various techniques you need to master before heading to the waves. We do not actually go in the surf. We have 2 sessions set for December and have more listed on our calendar. These classes cost $49 per person and is limited to 10 people. In addition you will have free reign over our demo fleet to try boards of various sizes to help figure out what board size you can handle.
Class 1 - Saturday December 3rd
Class 2 - Sunday December 11th
In addition we will be offering two guided trips to surf in the waves. This will not be a formal lesson. You will however receive pointers and tips as well as help being in the right place at the right time. We will also ensure you do not do anything "kooky". We are offering up two sessions both on Friday mornings. While we are limiting the group to 6 there is no cost to come on our guided excursion. If you have never surfed an SUP before you must come to one of our classes before you join us. Lastly we are making buying a new Stand Up Paddleboard for surfing as easy and affordable as possible. So for the the whole month of December we are offering a minimum of 10% of any surfing SUP and 10% of any and all accessories when purchased with a board. You will find close out deals in the 20-70% off range alongside a large selection of used gear as well. This includes boards from Jimmy Lewis, Starboard, Naish, Surftech and more. To help further we are;
- Waiving our normal $100 demo fee. That means all demos are free. No RSVP needed just come on down.
- Cutting our rental rate in half - Now only $50 to take a premium surfing SUP offsite and in to the waves.
- Allowing you to apply 4 rentals ($200) towards the purchase price of any Surfing SUP. Sales tax can not be applied. The credit is good til the end of February 2017.
- Waive the onsite $100 fee for demo. (Displacement hulls are excluded from this program)
