5 Year Anniversary All Day Party, Race, And Sale - Saturday November 12th!
Let us start with one enormous THANK YOU! We have been so blessed over the past 5 years to have met and worked with some of the nicest people around. While we try to give a little back every day we are picking one big day to make it all happen, so put Saturday November 12th on your calendar for Fun, Food, Charity, Racing, and Savings.
To kick the day off we will be holding our normal Paddleboard Race. With 2 mile and 6 mile courses it's the perfect race for first time racers and athletes alike. We have plenty of race boards for rent you can grab one when you sign up online. All proceeds will be donated to the Coast Guard Foundation in memory of our fallen friend Filip Andersson. But first a brief 101 Surf Sports history lesson. The whole thing started back on October 1st 2011 when we signed a lease, grabbed some hammers and went to work. We were lucky to stumble upon a progressive landlord in Jim Gabrielsen, and Jim Owen of Gabrielsen and Co. The firm could have easily turned the place in to condos, but had a vision to keep the property with at least some marine-oriented businesses. Running a marine business in one of the most expensive counties in the world is no easy feat. The current location had tried many iterations that just didn't quite work out. With a progressive lease and some TI ingenuity, 42 days later, on November 11, 2011 at 11:11:11am we flipped on the on sign. Check out a time lapse of our build out below.

Along the way we've had a great time getting to know some great people. We've laughed, and yes some crying too. As we look forward we see more good times and good people.
Back to the business and party side of things. We will be taking Friday November 11th as an opportunity to close the shop and say thank you to our incredible staff. We do this every year as a small token of our gratitude for their hard work and commitment to our philosophy. When Saturday dawns we will open up with an all day party. It wouldn't be 101 party with out a massive sale. We'll start by offering 10.1%* off everything. Nothing is off limits.
