ETC is currently looking for New Sea Kayak & River Program Volunteers!  There are a couple of programs available. First up is the ETC Sea Kayak Program Volunteers that begins with an evening classroom session in San Francisco on March 27, 2013. Then its time for some on the water training  on April 13 & 14 with day sessions in Sausalito and as a 4-day/3-night kayak trip to Angel Island. The Kayak training then wraps up with a night timesession in San Francisco on April 30.

If the river is more your thing than check out ETC's  new River Program Volunteers. These begin with an evening classroom session in San Francisco on March 26, 2013. Rivers have Whitewater so the next step is a Whitwater guide school that will take place at our river camp on the South Fork American River April 6-14.

Both sessions have Mandatory Disability Awareness Training as well.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of ETC, and represent diverse cultures, ages, occupations, and abilities. We provide expert training in wilderness skills, first aid, disability / diversity awareness, and environmental education. Every volunteer brings their own special talents and enthusiasm to the adventure. That is why so many of our participant groups return, year after year!. Why Volunteer?

  • Be recognized for your time and skill
  • Receive academic credit for your volunteer experience
