Free January 19th Movie Screening Lost & Found hits Marin County
101 Surf Sports is proud to present Lost and Found, a Doug Walker Film, for a FREE showing here at the shop this Saturday January 19th 2013. The movie is based on the epic Flea Market discovery of a lost (and then found) collection of some of the best surfing photographers work from a period of time that shaped the sport as we know it today.
First a little back story. In 2007 Doug Walker fortuitously chose to attend a flea market in the Pasadena Rose Bowl only to discover several boxes containing 30,000 black & white negatives that catpure the glory years of Surf Photography. After spending a year+ organizing this amazing collection, Doug set out to find the photographers as well as the surfers that were captured in these special photographs. After 3 years researching and interviewing legends like Aaron Chang, Dan Merkel aka "Man Mountain", & Bob Barbour Doug quickly realized this was a story that needed to be told and the Movie "Lost And Found" was born. Come on down and check it out this Saturday January 19th, 2013.
