Dotto Ngongoseke, originally from Tanzania, was a beloved husband, father, and enthusiastic He'e Nalu outrigger canoe paddler.

Tragically, Dotto passed away on October 14th in a car accident believed to have been caused by a sudden medical condition. His wife and children require additional support and aloha during this difficult time. The windsports community mourns the loss of one of its humble yet hardcore watermen, a dedicated athlete who was often seen at Crissy Field Kite Foiling, racing alongside his friends. On a somber Sunday, October 1st, 2023, Felix Louis N’jai tragically vanished in an apparent shark attack while swimming at Wildcat Beach in Point Reyes National Seashore.

Felix Louis N’jai was diligently preparing for Kiteboarding to make its debut in the Olympic Games in Paris 2024, representing the nation of Gambia as an aspiring athlete for their Olympic Team.


His vitality and warmth will be deeply missed, leaving an indelible void in our hearts. "Salaam aleikum," which translates to "peace be upon you."
